Curse the Dawn (Cassandra Palmer #4)
Plot:
Cassie Palmer may be the world’s chief clairvoyant, but that doesn’t mean people have stopped trying to kill her. And now, the self-styled god Apollo, the source of Cassie’s power, is on the warpath—leaving her no choice but to face down her creator once and for all.
My review:
after reading this book i think i need to lie down and have a hot chocolate or something soothing. i have read the 4 Cassie Palmer books back to back and frankly i am exhausted, and this is just from reading them. that’s how fast paced & action packed they are.
i enjoyed Curse the Dawn a lot more than the first 3 books in this series. (see my reviews for the other books here). it had all the great characters, action and sexy goodness of the previous books, without any head-scratching time travel conundrums. this book had so many funny moments and interactions that i couldn’t help but laugh out load and this was such a welcome relieve.
there is still a couple of glitzes in this book like, the fact that Karen Chance doesn’t always seem to be able to balance all the timelines and contingencies in a way that makes sense and sometimes i think she gets so caught up in the action that she doesn’t quite write things clearly.
other than those 2 things, this is an excellent addition to the series. i am still trying to catch my breath after these last 4 action packed books but i’ve already started with Hunt the Moon (#5) – i just couldn’t wait! happy reading.
